ABOUT ME
Olivia Salazar is a senior at Texas State University pursuing a BFA in dance education. She was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas and has been dancing since the age of eight. Her love of dance has never stopped growing as she has been a member of several dance teams and companies throughout her career. She was captain of the South Grand Prairie Chey-Anne Dance Team and a Pom Leader on the Texas State Strutters. Her favorite styles are jazz, hip-hop, pom, modern, and folklorico. Currently, she is a member of Danzantes de Corazón, a ballet folklorico company that performs traditional Mexican folklore dances in the New Braunfels and San Antonio area. Olivia is also dance and gymnastics teacher at J&R Gymnastics and Main Stage Dance in New Braunfels, TX. She hopes to become the director of a dance program and open her own studio in the future.
